With our expertise in the field of insulation materials and innovation, we convert ideas into concrete solutions for energy efficient buildings.
The BASF has an own housing company, the LUWOGE, which has done a great deal of experimental housing, in particular with regard to thermal insulation. At the end of the 1990ies, the 3-Litre-House was developed, a refurbishment of an existing multi family rental apartment building, and a series of new passive houses was also built. One year ago, the LUWOGE created a daughter, the LUWOGE consult. Her tasks are among others to further develop the technological and economic efficiency of thermal insulation of buildings and to spread this knowledge via advisory activities.
