The conceptual design of the LIVING LAB Research Infrastructure is performed by a combination of 4 academic and 3 industrial partners, that combine different backgrounds necessary for the project:

• Delft University of Technology - user-oriented product design and architecture
• ETH Zürich - customer-oriented innovation in the construction industry
• Universidad Politecnica de Madrid - communication, electronics and optics for buildings
• Wuppertal Institute - sustainability-oriented management of consumption and production patterns
• ACCIONA – construction, environmental services and (renewable) energy
• BASF - basic chemicals and materials for all kinds of products: from construction materials to chemicals for food and medicine
• Procter & Gamble - household and health-related consumer products
